Description:

This is the Sheldon 246 (Large Date with the closed "1" and the "3" against the drapery). The reverse sports a die break at "sta." The coin has the detail of a VF-25 with nice hair detail and full rims and denticles. The reverse is a little weak, which is common for this die. The coin has been brushed, leaving a bit of unnatural copper color over 20% of the coin's surfaces.
