(About The Images)
1928 $100.00. AU. 1928 $100.00. AU.
Lot Title: 1928 $100.00. AU.
Description: Fr-2405. Seldom seen small size $100 Gold Certificate in such a high grade. The paper is bright white, but it appears to have been pressed. Even so, it has an uncirculated-like quality to it with its crispness, appealing ink preservation, and commendable margins.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

75The Collectors' Auction 2011 on 10/21/2011$1,300.00
1928 $100.00. XF.
Fr. 2405. Fantastic for just the XF grade level, the overall appearance at first glance is upper AU! Minor curling in the paper and faint signs of handling are noted.
61The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$775.00
1928 $100.00. PMG VF-35.
Fr-2405. Original and desirable 1928 gold note with good dark ink but slightly faded seals and serials. A couple of corner folds are more noticeable from the back.
182The Midwest Winter Sale 2009 on 02/13/2009$1,500.00
1928 $100.00. XF.
Fr-2405. Lovely originality is on display with this most-dealers-would-consider-borderline-AU note. Great color, crispness, and brightness. The layout is very near perfect.
184The Midwest Winter Sale 2007 on 02/09/2007$750.00
1928 $100.00. VF.
Fr-1928. Original small size $100 Gold Certificate with a rich golden seal and nice centering. There are a couple of pinholes, otherwise this note could be considered XF.
176The Collector's Auction on 10/20/2006$1,365.00
1928 $100.00. XF.
Fr-2405. As bright as they come and with nice color and centering. Though lightly pressed, it is still almost an AU note, and one that faces up as an Unc.
163The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$1,150.00
1928 $100.00. XF.
Fr-2405. It is not too often that a $100 Gold Certificate in high grade becomes available. The paper is lightly and evenly toned on both sides. Good layout and still crisp.
