Description:

The Baraga County National Bank of L'Anse, Michigan. Nationals from the upper peninsula of Michigan are one of the most ferociously sought-after notes in the hobby. This particular note will magnify that fact as it comes from a bank in which only one other large size example is reported. Furthermore, this particular bank was the sole bank in Baraga County to even issue Nationals! It is completely new to the census, and while there are a few margin tears, it is still commendable because of its original, never-been-pressed appearance. Also adding to the charm of this note are the preserved signatures. It would be naïve to expect anything less than a strong four or five digit bid on this note as collectors are well aware of the fact that another example might not show up for decades, if ever.
