Lot Title:
1950 Booker T. Washington P, D, and S Set. NGC MS-66.
Description:
This rare set is composed of a piece with a very large mintage, the 1950-S at 512,091, and two pieces with paltry mintages of 12,004, respectively. Each magnificently struck issue has a scintillating radiance. The Denver specimen is a gleaming white, while the Philadelphia and San Francisco pieces have whispers of golden iridescence. Die polish lines are seen on the reverses, and some microscopic ticks appear on the obverse's motif.
