Lot Title:

Gold Indian Type Set, ANACS MS-62 (Three Coins).
Description:
A trio of identically graded Indian gold coins that form an impressive type set. The 1926 quarter eagle exudes frosty texture on both sides that is tan-gold in color. A smattering of abrasions in the lower-left obverse field are consistent with the grade. The 1909-D half eagle is an exceptionally attractive copper-gold piece that invokes something of a cameo appearance by virtue of darker coppery color at the margins surrounding the lighter colored incused motifs. Finally, the 1926 eagle tantalizes the viewer with creamy gold surface texture on both sides, particularly the reverse, which appears to grade fully MS-64. A pinscratch in front of the Indian’s brow is all that confines the grade as assigned. Three coin lot.
