Description:

An unevenly assembled set, but nonetheless, one with quite a few nice coins. A majority have a full "LIBERTY," and the 1909-S is the only missing coin (no hole is provided for 1856). Obviously cleaned coins include only 1859 F-12 details, 1866 VF-20 details, 1868 VF details, corroded, 1869 XF-40 details, 1870 XF-40 details, 1872 XF-40 details, 1878 “open 3” AU-50 details, and 1874 AU-50 details. Highlights include: 1864-L XF-40, corroded; 1867 XF-40, corroded; 1877 VF-20, micro-porosity; and 1908-S VG-11. There are many much nicer coins beginning from 1880, including an Uncirculated 1906. From the “Lone Elk” collection.
