Lot Title:
Two Seated Half Dollars and a Seated Quarter.
Description:
Two half dollars and a quarter comprise this lot. The 1858 is a fantastic XF-45+ with perfect slate-grey color and nearly perfect preservation. The 1859-O is a paler XF-45 and has a misplaced “9” in the denticles below the date. This coin has some good luster. Finally, the 1859-O quarter is an AU-50 with plenty of luster, especially on the reverse. For reasons unknown, the obverse has been artificially toned in an odd mixture of blue and mauve colors. Three coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
