1904 PCGS MS-64 and 1904-S PCI XF-40.. 1904 PCGS MS-64 and 1904-S PCI XF-40..
Lot Title: 1904 PCGS MS-64 and 1904-S PCI XF-40..
Description: This lot consists of an attractively toned date pairing, one Philadelphia issue and one from the San Francisco Branch Mint. The Philadelphia piece, besides being minimally marked with elegant silver-gray, satiny surfaces, has above average design detailing. Its San Francisco counterpart has exquisite crimson-gold hues that are complemented by blue tinges. Despite being circulated and typically struck for the date, it is exceptionally lustrous.

867The Midwest Summer Sale 2014 on 07/18/2014$450.00
Pair of 1904, both PCGS MS-63.
The pair illustrates different character for the underrated 1904 date, with one showing silvery bright surfaces encircled by a narrow band of gold. The other features a distinct layer of greyish gold...
868The Midwest Summer Sale 2014 on 07/18/2014$475.00
1904 PCGS MS-64 CAC.
1904 typically comes dull and lifeless compared to other issues, though this example features surprisingly vibrant luster despite heavy toning. Sharp everywhere except just over the ear.
824The Collectors' Auction 2012 on 10/05/2012$450.00
1904 PCGS MS-64.
Aside from those who specialize in the series, most collectors may not realize that the 1904 is one of the tougher issues to find really "nice". Most are dull, and even this superior coin features...
746The Midwest Summer Sale 2012 on 07/27/2012$550.00
1904 PCGS MS-64.
A tougher date in better UNC grades, 1904 becomes fairly expensive above the present MS-64, and the relative bargain value adds to the already strong aesthetic appeal. Both sides abound in luxurious...
747The Midwest Summer Sale 2012 on 07/27/2012$450.00
1904 PCGS MS-64.
An underestimated issue in the Morgan dollar series despite a mintage of 2.8 million, a well struck 1904 is not that easy to find "nice". Pronounced details over the ear and on the eagle's breast...
1025The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$1,150.00
1904 ANACS PF-61.
Significant wear appears on the hair curls above Liberty's ear, and the surfaces are dulled somewhat from an ambitious cleaning. An inexpensive entry into the proof Morgan dollar series.
757The Midwest Winter Sale 2008 on 02/08/2008$4,750.00
1904 Morgan dollar, NGC PF-65
If the grading services ever invent a grade of "light cameo", it would certainly merit use for this glistening proof Morgan dollar. This despite efforts on the part of the mint to avoid such contrast...
873The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$1,800.00
1904 PCGS PF-63.
From the last year for "normal" proof issues for this series. Production occurred in the months of March, June, and December and totaled 650 pieces. This piece gleams with a magnificent mirror...
943The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$675.00
1904 NGC MS-64.
A popular issue in upper mint state quality. Displaying satinlike surfaces with just a nuance of iridescence. There are no detracting marks or blemishes on this well-defined specimen.
944The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$220.00
1904 SEGS MS-64.
Violet peripheral toning adorns both the obverse and reverse of this pretty dollar. There is plenty of luster, although the strike appears average for a 1904.
