Lot Title:
|
1857 MS-62.
|
Description:
|
A good strike has brought up the reverse details very nicely, and the obverse is finely detailed as well. Generally pleasing white surfaces accommodate good luster, but the grade is inferred from observation of a few scattered nicks and abrasions across the portrait.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

Denim-blue accents scatter against the obverse right and lower rim and even make it over to the far right side of the reverse. Overall, magenta-grey toning picks up a lot of the luster still... |

1857 ANACS AU-53.

This lightly circulated issue exhibits a sparkling surface quality emblazoned with a circumferential russet aspect. The details remain solid for the assigned grade. |
