(About The Images)
1794 S-63 and 1795 S-78 Large Cents. 1794 S-63 and 1795 S-78 Large Cents.
Lot Title: 1794 S-63 and 1795 S-78 Large Cents.
Description: This duo will help on that year set many are assembling. The 1794 cent has the detail of a VF, but corrosion limits the eye appeal. The color is nice and the portrait is strong. The 1795 is a no problem About Good, without impairment other than wear.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

214The Collectors' Auction 2012 on 10/05/2012$725.00
1794 (S-72, die state A) Head of 1795. PCGS F-12.
The "head of 1795" may be quickly identified by how the point in the lowest lock of hair points downward. Although suitably graded "fine" by PCGS, the sharpness for this coin becomes easier to...
215The Midwest Summer Sale 2012 on 07/27/2012$1,450.00
1794 Head of 1795 (S-59, d/s A, R.3). ANACS VF-20.
A very decent 1794 large-cent for the commercial VF-20 grade, the old ANACS slab calls out no problems, and even at arm's length, strong detail will be the first thing to catch the eye of most...
107The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009$350.00
1794 Head of 1795 (S-72, R-2). F/rim dings.
A die crack from between "TY" to the rim on the obverse instantly points to S-72, and this is a decent enough representative for a lower grade example. Indeed, the surfaces are rather pleasing and...
491The Midwest Winter Sale 2009 on 02/13/2009$475.00
1794 Head of 1795 Circular Curl/Marred Face (S-67, R-3). F.
VF-25 details are surprisingly free of circulation marks or dings, and the fine microporosity actually diminishes the eye appeal very little if at all, since the dark, matte surface texture is...
207The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$300.00
1794 S-70 Fine+ detail.
This cent has all the detail it should, with nothing weak or missing. This medium brown cent would be perfect if not for mild overall granularity.
208The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$290.00
1794 S-70 Head of 1795. Net VG
A perfectly round Cent with an interesting die break between the "T" and "Y" in Liberty. This coin was lightly corroded and then smoothed many years ago. The surfaces are decent with just a couple...
