(About The Images)
Complete Set of Mercury Dimes (no overdate). Complete Set of Mercury Dimes (no overdate).
Lot Title: Complete Set of Mercury Dimes (no overdate).
Description: A set of Mercury dimes in a vintage Library of Coins album, lacking only an overdate example. This set has been extensively upgraded, and appears to contain basically zero problem coins. Indeed, the level of originality is something to which most other sets of similar caliber can only aspire! It is important to note that the earliest piece that is uncirculated is the 1934, but the 1929 is extremely close to Unc. The 1920-D appears AU, and numerous BU coins appear after 1934. Of more importance are the keys. The 1916-D is a nice AG-3 with a mild circulation hairline on the obverse, the 1921 grades VG/AG, and the 1921-D is a beautiful Fine or better. Be sure to examine some of the earlier dates, especially those with mintmarks, as there are some VF and better treasures hidden on the first page.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
