(About The Images)
1839 PCGS MS-62. 1839 PCGS MS-62.
Lot Title: 1839 PCGS MS-62.
Description: Jewel similar luster radiates elegantly throughout the obverse fields of this mostly white coin, while the reverse luster is a tad more subdued (though certainly well represented). As if pinched at one time between a thumb and index finger, an area of tobacco toning resides in the lower right area of the obverse, mirrored directly opposite on the reverse at the upper-right. Nicely struck in better relief than is normally seen for the type. There are a few small contact marks--perhaps a couple more than usual--scattered across the portrait, and there is also a single hairline above the Eagle’s head.
Low Estimate: $1,800.00
High Estimate: $2,000.00
Lot Status: Bidding has been closed for this lot.
