(About The Images)
1891-CC AU-58. 1891-CC AU-58.
Lot Title: 1891-CC AU-58.
Description: This Carson City eagle has the largest production recorded for this denomination, 103,732, which represents 34.6% of all the eagles struck at this nostalgic western mint. This example shows an admirable yellow-gold that radiates from its glistening surfaces. It is nominally marked and prominently struck.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

534The Collectors' Auction 2011 on 10/21/2011$1,900.00
1891-CC PCGS MS-62.
Swiftly moving luster glitters through the fields and accents obvious sharpness of detail. At normal viewing distance, the coin seems fairly clean, although good eyes will still notice a number of...
891The Collectors' Auction 2010 on 10/15/2010$760.00
1891-CC NGC XF-45.
Luster is especially prominent on the reverse, which by itself might well qualify for AU consideration. The obverse exhibits glittering luster around the stars as well, but is too abraded in the...
809The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009$4,200.00
1891-CC NGC MS-63.
Broad surface grazes in the fields are fortunately very shallow and hardly impact the expansive effect of the cartwheel luster. In addition, the mildly frosted motifs provide outstanding balance...
1011The Midwest Winter Sale 2009 on 02/13/2009$1,800.00
1891-CC NGC MS-62.
At the NGC grade of MS-62, 1891-CC is a reasonably attainable Carson City issue in the gold series, as the value rises considerably in better grades. This coin offers very attractive powdery gold...
1108The Midwest Summer Sale 2007 on 07/27/2007$1,050.00
1891-CC NGC MS-61.
A remarkable golden orange hue complements the resplendent surfaces of this Carson City eagle. An array of minute ticks is strewn over the fields and motifs, and a faint die break meanders from star...
406The Collector's Auction on 10/20/2006$675.00
1891-CC NGC AU-58.
An abundance of luster radiates from this specimen's glistening surfaces. An enhancing rich orange-gold aspect overshadows most of the observed contact ticks and insignificant scuffs.
407The Collector's Auction on 10/20/2006$1,175.00
1891-CC NGC MS-61.
A highly lustrous Carson City issue exhibiting an exquisite yellow-gold cartwheel radiance. The observed array of contact ticks are typical for this prominently struck example.
408The Collector's Auction on 10/20/2006$1,750.00
1891-CC NGC MS-62.
Its sparkling surfaces dominate the visual aspect and obliterate some of the surface marks present. This issue appears to have the first C of the mintmark punched to the right of its eventual...
409The Collector's Auction on 10/20/2006$755.00
1891-CC NTC MS-63.
This piece resembles an issue that would more accurately be ascribed as being MS-60. It shows a splendid and lovely gold glow that emits from its glistening surfaces. An array of contact ticks are...
509The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$575.00
1891-CC NGC AU-50.
Carson City gold has always been very popular and hard to find. Here is your chance to own a solid AU. Original mint luster can be seen lurking around the devices.
510The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$500.00
1891-CC AU-55.
Although just a touch of wear is detected on this piece's highest design points, there remains an abundant amount of luster. Pleasing golden yellow surfaces, and no detracting marks or blemishes,...
