(About The Images)
1938-S NGC MS-66 and 1940-D NGC MS-65. 1938-S NGC MS-66 and 1940-D NGC MS-65.
Lot Title: 1938-S NGC MS-66 and 1940-D NGC MS-65.
Description: Visually spectacular and sharply struck branch mint duo. The 1938-S radiates a virtual white quality from its mostly pristine surfaces. The 1940-D beams with a wonderful brilliance, though with a thin russet toning line on its reverse. However, this effect is offset by exquisite obverse rose and blue peripheral nuances.

High Estimate: $400.00

409The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$140.00
1938-S PCGS MS-65.
Hands down, this is a marvelous gem quarter housed in a PCGS green-label holder, and it faces up as perhaps an undergraded coin by today's standards. Luster dances playfully about each side,...
507The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$220.00
1938-S PCGS MS-65 OGH.
The 1938-S is one of the best produced issues from the first decade of this series, and the subject coin is no exception. Housed in an old green-label PCGS holder, this example offers an irresistible...
1343The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$245.00
1938-S PCGS MS-65.
Original, flashy, and extremely frosty. Housed in the smaller PCGS holder from years ago, and definitely graded conservatively based on the standards of today.
