Lot Title:
1882 NGC PF-63 RB and 1894 PF-64 RB.
Description:
Despite the "Red-Brown" designation, both members of this handsome pair of Proof Indian Head cents are dominated by dynamic shades of crimson and blue. The 1882 eloquently expresses a blue mood on the central motif, while the 1894 frolics with a burst of red-orange magnificence. Microscopic flecks are minimally represented, though one tiny flyspeck on the neck of the 1894 specimen must be noted. As expected of such a dynamic duo, striking details are exceptional.

Nice bright red reflects from the lustrous surfaces. Possibly whizzed, but pleasing nonetheless. |

1882 MS-65 RD.

This specimen has a fiery red-orange halo that encircles a lilac iridescent core. Some microscopic ticks and specs, mainly seen on the reverse's field, are accurately noted on this crisp strike. |
