Lot Title:
1843-O, Small O, Briggs 1-B. NGC AU-58.
Description:
Diagnostic by its reverse die crack array, this New Orleans specimen displays satinlike lustrous surfaces with just a whisper of golden iridescence. The majority entered circulation shortly after being struck. This example shows the barest evidence of wear on its highest design features. A few light marks are noted, but none are abusive. Its design motifs are extremely bold. NGC Population: 7, 8 higher, finest MS-65.
