Lot Title:
1875 $2.00. Boston, MA Charter# 1028 Scallops. VF.
Description:
The State National Bank of Boston, Massachusetts. Elegant vanity signatures on this lovely Lazy Deuce. Although it appears lightly pressed, it is in a much higher state of preservation than the vast majority of this ultra-scarce type. The margins are cut tight, but the paper is still clean, fairly bright, crisp, and intact. It is impossible to image that this type will ever decrease in value, so if you lack this most-popular national type, consider being aggressive on this beauty.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

The Atlantic National Bank of Boston, Massachusetts. Net "good" seems to properly reflect the overall VG appearance, with consolation given a partial split at the middle and a few internal tears. ... |
