Lot Title:
1877 NGC PF-67.
Description:
An electrifying Gem that reflects the most gorgeous and intense blue toning you are ever likely to encounter. It may be difficult to pick up this color in the photograph, but trust me, it is mouthwatering. In addition to the lovely tone, NGC has never graded this date higher, though two have been given the Cameo and Deep Cameo designation. The obverse surfaces are remarkable, showing nary a mark. They reflect a natural, rich, dark violet toning around the center, and an extreme blue around the peripheries. That same extreme blue nearly engulfs the entire reverse. The detail is razor sharp. If this coin doesn't please your coin-collecting soul, nothing will.
