This famous overdate was discovered by Arnold Cohn and reported in the March 1943 issue of Numismatic Scrapbook Magazine. Handsomely toned in an aesthetic shade of crimson, and it shows just the slightest hint of wear on its highest design elements. The sparse number of minute marks are to be expected at this grade level. It is a splendidly struck example.
