Lot Title:
1870 25C J-901. PCGS PF-62.
Description:
Ascribed as a Rarity-6+, Standard Silver, Plain Edge pattern Quarter (J-901, P-1016). Its reflective fields are embellished by a whisper of rose iridescence. The frosted design motifs offer a pleasing contrast and present a lovely cameo aspect. Some die polish lines, along with a few flecks and ticks, are perceivable on its obverse, while a delicate variegation of toning is dappled on its reverse. In addition, there is a smudge of toning on the obverse between E and S of STATES. A handsome specimen of an elusive pattern issue.
