Lot Title:

Collection of Lincoln cents 1909 through 1940, complete minus 1922 Plain, in a Whitman 9405 album.

Description:
|
Collector appeal: "A-" for the average grade range estimate of Good to VG. Although we suggest a range up through only VG, plenty of early dates, including mintmarked coins, will garner Fine or better consideration. What really adds to the terrific appeal is the manner in which coins are matched up for appearance, with practically zero problems evident amongst these naturally preserved chocolate-brown examples. 1909-S VDB will grade Fine or better very easily, 1914-D barely makes VG, and 1931-S seems to be picture-perfect at VF-35 (there is no 1922 "plain"). A fantastic way for the intermediate collector to jump right into this all-time classic collection.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
