Description:

Bombs And Roses Set. The planchets for the quarter and Susan B. Anthony dollar differ only slightly in diameter, but it is enough that an SBA struck on a quarter planchet would fail to bring out all the reeding on the edge, such as is the case here. Surprisingly, all eleven segments of the obverse periphery managed to get struck onto the flan, though the reverse lacks a couple of segments entirely. While not an error of the magnitude of rarity of a 1943 copper cent, it is nonetheless of that caliber of "off-planchet" striking, and definitely popular with collectors.
