Lot Title:
Sheet of nineteen impaired Bust half-dollars.
Description:
Courteous Collection of Early Type. As stated, none of these could practically be called "problem-free", though some bidders will see a few as worthy of a straight-grade. We list them with DETAILS ONLY as follows: 1808 O-108 (VG/scratched), 1809 (XF/scratched), 1809 (VF/scratched), 1812 O-106 (VF/scratched), 1813 O-101a (XF/scratched), 1813 O-103 (AU/graffiti), 1814/3 O-101a (AU/scratched), 1814 O-103 (AU/scratched), 1814 O-109 (AU/corrosion), 1817 O-113a (VF/scratched), 1818/7 O-101 (XF/reverse corrosion), 1818 O-112 (AU/scratched), 1830 O-113 (VF/surface residue), 1830 O-117 (XF/obverse corrosion), 1831 O-113 (XF/scratched/corroded), 1833 O-103 (UNC/scratched), 1833 O-104 (XF/scratched), 1834 O-102 (UNC/corroded), and 1834 O-121 (AU/rim bumps/cleaned). Whew, it isn't the sinking of the Titanic, but it sure isn't pretty for this nineteen coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
