(About The Images)
1872-CC NGC XF-45. 1872-CC NGC XF-45.
Lot Title: 1872-CC NGC XF-45.
Description: Mintage: 26,900. Noticeable strike-doubling appears for virtually every letter in the reverse legend. The surface has been preserved to a nearly sensational degree, with utterly delightful "dirty gold" patina showing greyish inflections over mustard-gold. What a great "look" for large, circulated gold! Flowline luster falls right in place for the choice grade, with the reverse showing some nice, playful cartwheel action. (PCGS# 008964)

A marvelous Carson City example that is very difficult to find so robust. Only the very highest points on the reverse show signs of wear, and for an AU coin, this one sure is bright and lustrous. ...
