Lot Title:
Partial collection in a Whitman 9416 album.
Description:
Only the "big three" keys are absent from this Barber quarter set, as the slots for 1896-S, 1901-S and 1913-S remain empty. What remains, though, is an otherwise complete set of vintage pieces that do show considerable wear overall, but suffer no obvious eyesores. 1892-O, 1894-S, 1898-O, 1899-O, 1902, 1902-S, 1905-O, 1907-D, 1908, 1911-S, and 1913 seem to be the most worn pieces, with their grades in the Fair range or so, while everything else should grade at least AG, with many full-rim examples thrown in for good measure.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
