Lot Title:
Collection of eighty Proof Franklin half-dollars.
Description:
U-Bob Collection. "A" quality. Generally better cameo coins make up this group of proof Franklin half-dollars, which is comprised of mixed dates. The earliest dates seen via sampling were 1953 and 1954, although earlier dates may be present, and one roll has been identified as having 16x 1961 with 4x 1963 coins. Nice representation of each intervening date could readily be seen, and many coins show at minimum one-sided ultra-cameo quality. The speculator will undoubtedly want to take some time looking for the all-important UCAM gems. We did not notice a single particularly "problematic" half-dollar out of the small sample. Eighty coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
