(About The Images)
1913 UNC details/tooled. 1913 UNC details/tooled.
Lot Title: 1913 UNC details/tooled.
Description: Evidently, some attempt was made to lift dark debris (die-grease, perhaps) out of a planchet defect in the obverse right field. Otherwise, the coin would seem to qualify for an MS-63 grade. (PCGS# 009161)

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

1029The Midwest Summer Sale 2012 on 07/27/2012$2,400.00
1913 PCGS MS-63+.
A trifle "white", but gleaming multi-spoke luster saves the day. While common in lower mint-state grades, 1913 becomes a slightly better date at MS-63, and with a "plus" sign, falls just shy of a...
1030The Midwest Summer Sale 2012 on 07/27/2012$5,250.00
1913 PCGS MS-64.
Elusive in MS-64, 1913 ranks as one of the semi-key issues in the Saint-Gaudens series. Certain dates are recognizable as rare keys and are unobtainable to the huge majority of collectors (1920-S,...
921The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$1,250.00
1913 PCGS MS-62.
Intense orange splendor emanates from this double-eagle's frosty, lustrous surfaces. Unobtrusive contact ticks are sprinkled here and there on this handsomely struck specimen.
1069The Midwest Winter Sale 2009 on 02/13/2009$1,950.00
1913 NGC MS-62.
Strike deficiency relegates many 1913 Saint-Gaudens double-eagles to lower mint state grades, and such is the case here. Central flatness limits upgrade potential, though the surfaces are unusually...
1044The Midwest Winter Sale 2008 on 02/08/2008$1,700.00
1913 Saint-Gaudens double-eagle, NGC MS-62
Though similar in appearance to a "choice" coin, observation with a loupe discovers a couple of scrapes on Liberty's torso that are not befitting of a higher grade.
1241The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$525.00
1913 AU-55.
A solid AU coin with no real problems. There is a bit of wear, bit it is not too bad. The color is attractive, and there is still plenty of luster to go around.
1242The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$600.00
1913 NGC MS-61.
This certainly is an uncirculated coin that would fit nicely into a type set. It has nice luster and a good strike.
