Lot Title:
1915-D NGC MS-62.
Description:
1915-D is not particularly recognizable as a date in the series that often comes prooflike, yet there's no doubt that reflectivity in the fields is noticeably more pronounced than usual. Indeed, close examination reveals a plethora of fine die-polish that speaks to dies refreshed just prior to striking. Slightly below average in terms of sharpness, the details do show a nice touch of mint frost that only reinforces the semi-prooflike character. Very cool! (PCGS# 006533)
