Master Sergeant Collection. In addition to the few usual UNC coins (1881-S, 1883-O, 1886, etc.), a number of early pieces seem to have suffered cleaning issues. We list a handful of highlighted coins as follows: 1878-CC (VF/cleaned), 1879-CC (G-4 and remarkably original), 1884-CC (MS-62), and 1890-CC (VG/light marks). An extra vinyl page in back holds six minor extra coins.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified.
