Lot Title:
1911-S NGC UNC details/altered color.
Description:
NGC declares "altered color", although there is no obvious difference between the hue seen here and on innumerable cents that have received a straight grade. However, closer examination finds a subtle, streaky pattern sweeping up into the obverse right field. Disclaimers aside, an early branch-mint cent with this much luster, and especially with such a sharp strike, deserves consideration for inclusion in any collection. (PCGS# 002447)
