Lot Title:
Five certified Lincoln cents, as described
Description:
Berry Tree Collection. 1909 (NGC MS-65 RB) shimmers with rich crimson-orange luster, 1909-VDB (PCGS MS-65 RB) leans strongly toward the brown designation with wood grain effect, and a 1910 (NGC MS-64 RD) has fiery-red patina over strong luster. Next is a 1914 (PCGS MS-64 BN) that displays very handsome sea-green haziness draped over chocolate brown fields, resulting in an attractive coin for the grade. The cornerstone of this quintet has to be 1931-D (NGC MS-63 RB) which is a date usually overshadowed by the "S" mint coin, but proves elusive in high grades. Five coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
