Lot Title:
1902 $10 Wyoming, IL Charter# 6629 Blue Seal XF.
Description:
The National Bank of Wyoming, Illinois. Disconcerting as always when a city is named like a state, Wyoming, IL was founded in 1836 in upper central Illinois, and actually takes its name from Wyoming Valley in Pennsylvania, from which many of its early settlers hailed. Large signatures show some moderate fading but still retain obvious purple hue, which shows nicely against lightly toned paper.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

The National Bank of Wyoming, Illinois. An elusive "state-in-a-state" title. It has been washed and pressed, and the bottom margin is a bit ragged. |

The National Bank of Wyoming, Illinois. Just 10 small examples of this state-in-a-state national are reported, and even though it has been well circulated, it is completely intact and shows a nice... |
