Lot Title:

1957 Mint Set in original government envelope
|
Description:
|
Put your cherry-picker hats on as you look for the single Type-B quarter hiding within this 1957 mint set. The rest of us will simply enjoy the deeply saturated toning that thoroughly dominates the coins, as even the cents have developed some color (chartreuse in one case, extremely well saturated fruity colors in two other cases). One of the cardboard holders has imparted particularly aggressive peripheral toning for most of its coins, with exceptional color for the nickels.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
