Lot Title:

1952, 1953, and 1956 Proof Sets, all in Capital Plastics holders.
|
Description:
|
Mike Wrinkle Collection. Pay special attention to the 1953 proof set, as the half-dollar presents exceptional cameo contrast, and the quarter features obvious contrast as well. Even the half-dollar in the 1952 proof set shows some contrast - tough to find on these early proofs. But saving best for last, all of the silver coins in the 1956 set feature dramatic mint frost that will most likely prove worthy of certification. All cents blaze with brilliant mint-red color. If any proof set lots in this auction have significant untapped upside potential, this might well be it! Housed in a Capital Plastics holders.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
