Lot Title:
Collection of Barber quarters in a Whitman album.
Description:
Absence of one key and two common pieces prevent this from being a complete set, as the 1896-S, 1908-O and 1908-S are not present. These are almost universally nice quarters with perfect original surfaces and ideal two-toned charcoal and dove-grey coins, except for about a handful that have been perhaps lightly cleaned. The keys tabulate quickly as follows: 1897-S (full rim G), 1901-S (perfect AG-3), 1913-S (borderline G-3.75), and 1914-S (G). Housed in an old Whitman 9416 album.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
