Lot Title:
1922-S NGC MS-65.
Description:
282 graded MS-65, 14 higher at NGC. Common in practically any lower grade, 1922-S suddenly registers semi-key status at MS-65. The NGC population report clearly underscores literal rarity at the grade, with only fourteen counted in MS-66 (and none higher than that)! Blistering white frosty luster does not disappoint either, although as usual for the date, some localized central striking weakness cannot be missed. As expected, each side remains free from any noticeable contact marks. (PCGS# 007359)

The Peace dollar series becomes terribly expensive in MS-65, but almost all of the coins are approachable in MS-64, the grade assigned this pair. 1922-S features frosty ice-white luster with a... |
