1938 P, D, S Texas, NGC MS-66, PCGS MS-65, and NGC MS-65, respectively. 1938 P, D, S Texas, NGC MS-66, PCGS MS-65, and NGC MS-65, respectively.
Lot Title: 1938 P, D, S Texas, NGC MS-66, PCGS MS-65, and NGC MS-65, respectively.
Description: Eunice Peters Estate. 1938 shows the Eliasberg provenance, though the otherwise shows rather mundane apricot-grey patina. 1938-D (PCGS green-label holder) features strong patina on the reverse, suggesting long-time coin board storage, while 1938-S might be the pick of the lot for the collector of extremely original commems. It shows considerable Kraft envelope toning throughout, with extensive tobacco-brown accents splashed across both sides, and some intriguing bluish-grey patina over the lower obverse. Three coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
