(About The Images)
1804 Plain 4 - Stemless (C-13). PCGS AU-55. 1804 Plain 4 - Stemless (C-13). PCGS AU-55.
Lot Title: 1804 Plain 4 - Stemless (C-13). PCGS AU-55.
Description: 7070 Collection. Strong natural light reveals rather crusty mahogany patina gathered over much of the surface, intermingling with dark walnut toning and even deeper grey accents on the high relief areas. Considerable definition remains in the strands of Liberty's hair and the wreath's leaves, though closer examination finds a surprising amount of grungy residue still stubbornly attached to the more complex detail areas. (PCGS# 001063)

1804 Plain 4 - Stemless (C-13, D/S III) NGC UNC details/improperly...
FRS, Sr. Set. Steely bluish-brown patina does indeed show some unusual glossy character even at arm's length, although the eye-appeal is far from horrible. A thin old scratch crossing Liberty's bust...
297The Collectors' Auction 2013 on 10/18/2013$180.00
1804 Plain 4 - Stemless (C-13) PCGS VF-20.
New World Estate. Ebony-brown surfaces display pleasing frost, with color and texture consistent from side to side, and edge to edge. This is a pretty half-cent for the commercial VF grade, no...
209The Collectors' Auction 2012 on 10/05/2012$310.00
1804 (C-13), 1807 (C-1), and an 1825 (C-2), as described.
Terrific half-cents make this a superior lot for the collector who enjoys humble, affordable and easily appreciated early U.S. coinage. Each of these presents well, with dates and attributions...
325The Midwest Summer Sale 2011 on 07/29/2011$330.00
1804 Plain 4 - Stemless (C-13). NGC XF-45 BN.
Stable, dark sienna-brown tone is absolutely consistent from edge to edge and side to side, resulting in a low-contrast presentation. Finely detailed devices emerge from the fields, with Liberty...
172The Collectors' Auction 2010 on 10/15/2010$600.00
1804 Plain 4 - Stemless (C-13, R.1). NGC AU-55 BN.
Walnut-brown patina appears steady and fully original, and reveals very decent flowline luster, especially along the right side of the obverse field. "C-13" is always an excellent place to start for...
173The Collectors' Auction 2010 on 10/15/2010$2,900.00
1804 Plain 4 - Stemless (C-13, R.1). PCGS MS-63 BN.
Plain 4 in the date and no stems on the reverse attributes C-13, with a long, narrow die break in the far left field denoting die-state III. Rather sharply defined, with even bronze-brown tone on the...
430The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$2,300.00
1804 Plain 4 - Stemless (C-13, R-1) and 1828 Thirteen Stars (C-3,...
Delightful half-cents comprise this dynamic duo. The 1804 C-13 bears minuscule abrasions on Liberty's portrait that indicate very brief circulation, yet substantial hints of mint red persist,...
192The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$250.00
1804 Plain 4 - Stemless. XF-45.
This is a well-struck problem-free example. The rims are full and ding free. The color is medium chocolate brown with some very light mottling. This is a great type coin.
246The Midwest Summer Sale 2007 on 07/27/2007$270.00
1804 Plain 4 - Stemless. XF-45 Light Scratch.
Other than the light scratch seen by the date, this is a pleasing example of an early date half cent.
229The Midwest Winter Sale 2007 on 02/09/2007$550.00
1804 Plain 4 - Stemless C-13. AU-55.
A greenish tint reflects from the surfaces of this well-defined dark chocolate brown example.
230The Midwest Winter Sale 2007 on 02/09/2007$230.00
1804 Plain 4 - Stemless. ANACS XF-40.
This is the really cool stemless variety. It has incandescent blue-green toning that really gives it a unique look. It is fully struck and problem free.
