(About The Images)
1892-O NGC MS-64. 1892-O NGC MS-64.
Lot Title: 1892-O NGC MS-64.
Description: True Grit Collection. 1892-O is one of the issues in the silver dollar series that presents but little challenge to the collector in circulated grades, but rapidly becomes downright scarce in grades above MS-63. At the present MS-64, a reasonable premium buys the new owner a coin with rather exciting luster and a good strike with no distracting marks, while carefully avoiding the "deep pockets" realm of the next grade up. This example also offers nearly untoned surfaces except where the rim has taken on some attractive golden accents that provide three-dimensional depth of character. A nice coin in a nice grade. (PCGS# 007216)

916The Collectors' Auction - 2014 on 10/17/2014$270.00
1892-O NGC MS-62.
A popular refrain for such issues as 1892-O, circulated examples are always available, while nicer UNC coins rapidly become scarce with each additional point in grade. MS-62 gives a nice compromise...
917The Collectors' Auction - 2014 on 10/17/2014$775.00
1892-O NGC MS-64.
Checkered Collection. 1892-O NGC MS-64. A scintillating example, with coral-gold accents on the rim that help enliven the eye-appeal. Modest softness over Liberty's ear corresponds with slightly...
921The Collectors' Auction 2013 on 10/18/2013$340.00
1892-O NGC MS-63.
Luster seen here should definitely prove enticing, as most examples of 1892-O tend to be slightly dull. Not so this example, which features bright mint frost and an attractive ring of translucent...
790The Collectors' Auction 2011 on 10/21/2011$750.00
1892-O NGC MS-64.
Probably VAM-13, since "92" are doubled in the date. New Orleans dollars from this era are often softly struck, and that is the case here, with planchet striations still apparent over the ear area...
787The Midwest Winter Sale 2009 on 02/13/2009$210.00
1892-O NGC MS-63.
Bright, with a level of preservation that may exceed the MS-63 grade assigned by NGC, though the typical New Orleans strike failed to eradicate some roller marks left on the original planchet. They...
707The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$825.00
1892-O PCGS MS-64.
A spotless coin that exudes marvelous mint luster and a surprisingly clean appearance for the grade. 1892-O is an issue that jumps tremendously in value at the next grade level, so MS-64 represents...
716The Midwest Winter Sale 2008 on 02/08/2008$775.00
1892-O Morgan dollar, PCGS MS-64
Pearly white with smooth, attractive mint luster and no spots. A couple of hairline scrapes appear above the date.
820The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$800.00
1892-O PCGS MS-64.
Notwithstanding the lack of definition that is typically seen on New Orleans issues, this luminous coin immediately appears to be appreciably finer than the assessed grade. There are no marks or...
821The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$525.00
1892-O NGC MS-64.
Snow white with a couple of minute marks on the cheek. This coin would actually grade MS-65 were it not for the typical New Orleans strike that has placed soft hair detail above the ear and a few...
818The Midwest Summer Sale 2007 on 07/27/2007$550.00
1892-O NGC MS-64.
An extremely lustrous example of this date with a frosty, satiny aspect. Choice for the grade, and an example that collectors of conservatively graded coins will be competing against dealers...
709The Collector's Auction on 10/20/2006$1,550.00
1892-O MS-65.
A flat-out gorgeous example of the date with large areas of the surfaces being completely free from marks. It is perfectly original with very faint soft russet toning just beginning to be seen around...
887The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$270.00
1892-O NGC MS-63.
A particularly lustrous specimen with a relatively untoned silver-white aspect. Relatively free of marks and scuffs, this is a handsome issue with pleasing central design elements.
830The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$550.00
1892-O PCGS MS-64.
An extremely lustrous example of this date with a glowing, satiny aspect and a golden iridescence. This issue was probably part of a lone mint bag uncovered in 1977. The observed contact ticks and...
831The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$0.00
1892-O PCGS MS-64.
An exceptionally alluring specimen from this branch mint. Practically free of any bothersome marks or blemishes, especially on Liberty's cheek. Its splendid surfaces are lustrous and velvetlike with...
