Description:

PCGS has somehow determined a very precise F-15 grade, but what matters most is that this halfpenny features very pretty, smooth caramel-brown surfaces and practically none of the multitude of planchet problems that frequent the series. Only high magnification will reveal some very minor planchet porosity. Also notable is the fact that the splasher is not present over the crown, though some slightly dark discoloration suggests that it was pried off at some point -- a common occurrence for these pieces.
