(About The Images)
1878 7TF reverse of 79, and an 1878-CC, both NGC MS-64. 1878 7TF reverse of 79, and an 1878-CC, both NGC MS-64.
Lot Title: 1878 7TF reverse of 79, and an 1878-CC, both NGC MS-64.
Description: Interesting subtle differences in the quality typically seen between Philadelphia and Carson City become evident with review of this pairing. Consistent, brilliant luster filters over the entire surfaces of 1878 7TF rev of '79, with a strike that barely misses absolute completion over Liberty's ear. Minute scattered ticks only determine the grade. 1878-CC by contrast features an astoundingly sharp strike that brought up every conceivable detail, and the appearance has distinct semi-prooflike character that sees only faint luster grazes. Both are stone-cold brilliant white in this two coin lot.
