(About The Images)
1909-S NGC MS-64. 1909-S NGC MS-64.
Lot Title: 1909-S NGC MS-64.
Description: Unlike the usual case for the type, the obverse is the stronger side for this MS-64 Saint, showing rollicking luster and surprisingly few abrasions for the grade. Some ticks lay across the sun's rays on the reverse, though none is remotely significant enough to cause complaint. Best of all, this appears to be an incredibly well struck coin showing full facial details, or at least as much definition as these earlier dates ever reveal. Immensely attractive in that case, and a coin that could see some upgrade potential. (PCGS# 009153)

1181The Midwest Summer Sale 2010 on 07/23/2010$1,650.00
1909-S PCGS MS-64.
The detail on this Saint borders on being fully struck, since Liberty's face is well defined and includes almost complete separation between her nose and lips. Toes and fingers are well separated,...
907The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$1,250.00
1909-S NGC MS-62.

Lovely dusky-gold patina dominates each side and provides an ideal original appearance for gold. While relatively free from handling marks, the primary grade determinant is likely roll friction on...

1909-S NGC MS-64.
A pair of old pin scratches at the extreme upper-left obverse field surely determine the grade, though the general impression is that of a very choice coin. Fully original, with all of the vintage...

911The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$1,550.00
1909-S NGC MS-64.
While each side is obviously lightly abraded, the dusky vintage patina adds charm and character. None of the contact marks is singularly important enough to warrant individual mention.
912The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$1,650.00
1909-S NGC MS-64.
Unusually nice, vintage dusky patina seems to be just on the cusp of beginning to tone, as darker bronze-gold blushes over the top of Liberty's shoulders, and careful scrutiny reveals the slightest...

1909-S NGC MS-62 Golden Gate Collection.
Rather more than the expected number of blemishes pepper each side, but not one mark is excessively detracting. The satin mint luster beams with smooth consistency on both sides. From the Golden...

1909-S NGC MS-61.
This well-struck San Francisco issue's velvet-like surfaces are embellished by a rich orange-gold hue. The observed contact ticks are minimal and do not detract.
1229The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$635.00
1909-S NGC MS-62.
This Saint Gaudens is super flashy and bright. There are very few marks for the grade. It is fully struck, and has orange peel surfaces.

1231The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$650.00
1909-S NGC MS-63.
After viewing this coin, you will probably agree that it is not destined to forever be in an MS-63 holder. It is just too nice for such a fate. Solid detail and fantastic luster is displayed.
1232The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$975.00
1909-S NGC MS-64.
Extremely bright and flashy. The surfaces appear as if they are wet. The marks probably prevent an MS-65 grade, but this is definitely a high-end MS-64.
