Lot Title:
Five key-dates, as described.
Description:
Significantly better Indian head cents make an appearance in this desirable quintet, lifted straight out of the consignors album collection. We give estimated grades as follows: 1866 (unc, terrific luster and significant remaining mint red), 1871 (unc, probably an old dip, now with some orange luster and magenta undertones), 1877 (G-6, glossy but with some minor environmental effects, including a green spot off to the left), 1908-S (VF, obverse hairline scratch), and 1909-S (VF with definite corrosion spots). Five coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
