(About The Images)
1860-O NGC MS-64. 1860-O NGC MS-64.
Lot Title: 1860-O NGC MS-64.
Description: Classic Mustang Collection. Spangling luster aggressively roams through the fields of this antebellum half-dollar, sparkling with uninhibited vibrancy beneath a fragile layer of magenta-blue patina. Possibly struck on a slightly tapered planchet, a few stars flung off to the right and part of AMERICA on the reverse show some weakness of strike, while the central details provide an outstanding impression. 706The Collectors' Auction 2013 on 10/18/2013$360.00
1860-O SS Republic NGC AU/Shipwreck Effect.
B. B. Consignment. Despite the surfaces showing extensive fine corrosion, details remain strong at the AU level, and the silvery color actually looks reasonable, though expectantly dull. No papers...
623The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$160.00
1860-O AU Cleaned and 1876-S AU Polished.
The 1860-O has been only lightly cleaned, and has recovered some significant toning. The 1876-S was probably lightly polished, but has retoned considerably with an attractive rainbow pattern on the...
1457The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$260.00
1860-O AU-58+.
Just a bit of wear in fields is keeping this coin from being called an Unc. It has the detail and luster of an MS-62.
1458The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$1,000.00
1860-O MS-63+.
What a wonderfully appealing coin. The strike is full, the surfaces are choice, and the colors are superb. This was probably struck during the last few months before the Union lost control of the...
