(About The Images)
1895 PCGS MS-65. 1895 PCGS MS-65.
Lot Title: 1895 PCGS MS-65.
Description: The Nickel-To-A-Doughnut Collection. 53 graded MS-65, 14 higher at PCGS. The general collecting public might well fail to recognize the very difficult task of assembling a set of Liberty nickels at the gem level, but aside from the three obvious keys, those struck during the early to mid-1890s present a challenge, as the Gay Nineties saw a very high attrition rate of small change then in circulation. This PCGS graded 1895 exhibits fantastic, crystal clear nickel brilliance over an exceptional strike, with both sides beautifully decorated by frosty surface texture. As demanded of the grade, just minimal contact may be seen anywhere, including a couple of delicate linear marks crossing on Liberty's cheek, and those present no impediment whatsoever to the blazing eye-appeal. (PCGS# 003856)
