Lot Title:
1873 Arrows. NGC PF-67.
Description:
One graded PF-67 (this coin), NONE higher at NGC. Although this is the finest proof 1873 "with arrows" dime ever seen at NGC, resubmission for a cameo designation (or at least a "star") has to be entertained by the new owner, as this appears to be a dime well deserving of the honor. The obverse features vivid, obvious contrast between Liberty's portrait and lustrous yet reflective fields, and like observations pertain to the reverse as well. Impressive milk-white frost on the devices shows no breaks anywhere, not even between the shield lines where die wear often shows up first. Aside from a touch of bronze toning on the rims, the balance of the coin remains untoned as well, without even a single carbon speck or blemish to detract. (PCGS# 004769)
