Lot Title:
1906 NGC PF-66 RB CAMEO.
Description:
French Connection Estate. To be perfectly plain NGC should have designated the color as "RD", not "RB", since the coin has never been "aided" and the color is as natural as is possible, faded just gently into deeper sunset-gold. At least the cameo designation was properly granted, and it certainly fits the delightful presentation that includes wonderfully reflective fields. A handful of delicate carbon spots fleck over Liberty's portrait, virtually hidden within the complexity of beautifully struck details. (PCGS# 002406)
