Lot Title:
1870-CC NGC F-12.
Description:
Mintage: 54,617, 3 graded F-12, 24 higher at NGC. A well-circulated Seated half-dollar could not get more original than this. Surfaces exhibit absolutely perfect medium-grey patina with generous scattered crumbles of dirt clinging tenaciously to both sides of the coin, proving beyond dispute that it has never been harshly cleaned. As is usually the case for half-dollars of the era, LIBERTY lacks three letters on the shield. (PCGS# 006328)
