Lot Title:
1904-O NGC MS-63.
Description:
Samuel Robertson Gold Consignment. Mintage of about 109,000 isn't all that small by late gold eagle production standards, but 1904-O does become significantly tougher to locate nice above the MS-60 level. NGC calls this MS-63, a grade that adequately reflects smooth, untroubled surfaces and sharp details. As usual for this New Orleans emission, the luster will appear a trifle subdued at first glance, but that is partly a result of intact, original patina. A refreshing diversification from the usual parade of high-mintage, common bullion issues for the collector. (PCGS# 008756)
