(About The Images)
1908-D D No Motto. PCGS MS-62. 1908-D D No Motto. PCGS MS-62.
Lot Title: 1908-D D No Motto. PCGS MS-62.
Description: Samuel Robertson Gold Consignment. Brassy patina layers over the surfaces to provide a nice, un-conserved appearance, and in addition, closer examination locates a thin line of darker residue worked into most of the obverse rim. Surfaces are surprisingly free from contact, but the strike does seem a little soft as viewed from either side. (PCGS# 008854)

1159The Midwest Summer Sale 2011 on 07/29/2011$14,500.00
1908-D No Motto. PCGS MS-64.
Perhaps a handful of Indian eagles are more valuable than the 1908-D "no motto" in a grade of MS-64. PCGS reports 36 at this grade level, with a paltry 7 pieces graded higher -- and those coins would...
1023The Midwest Winter Sale 2009 on 02/13/2009$21,000.00
1908-D No Motto. PCGS MS-64.
An exceedingly nice example that is deprived of fully "gem" status by a single bagmark located right between "TY", although a couple of insignificant hairlines can be found next to it. This coin...
1061The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$475.00
1908-D No Motto AU, cleaned.
Considerable mint luster remains on either side, with little effect from circulation visible on the high points. Two very trivial handling marks appear near Liberty's ear, with a couple of tiny marks...
977The Midwest Winter Sale 2008 on 02/08/2008$2,400.00
1908-D 'no motto' Indian eagle, NGC MS-62
Generally unabraded, with nice, wide rims on the reverse. The grade seems to be accounted for almost entirely by mild slidemark friction across the Indian maiden's cheek.
978The Midwest Winter Sale 2008 on 02/08/2008$14,500.00
1908-D D No Motto. PCGS MS-64.
The warm golden glow that is transmitted from this specimen's exquisitely lustrous surfaces gives this exceptionally bold issue a visual vibrancy. Only a few surface scuffs are detected on its...
